How would you describe your ball flight? Mine has always been high, too high a lot of the time, and this has often caused me issues with distance control on breezy days, and maximising my distance in general, especially with my wedges and short irons. I have been using the Titleist Pro V1 golf ball for the last few years, which is the lower flying ball from the Pro V1 range, but still had the same problems. A few months ago, I gave the Titleist AVX golf balls a go after giving the Titleist ball selector app a try on their website. I noticed the difference immediately due to a larger core formulation, thinner cover and unique aerodynamic dimple design that generates a piercing, low flight, while still giving extremely soft feel. Changing ball has certainly helped my game. Not all golf balls are the same, and you could be making the game harder for yourself than it needs to be by using a ball that isn't helping you get the most out of your game, just like I was. Pop in and see us to discuss what part of your game could be helped out by using a specific golf ball, and it's definitely worth taking a look at the Titleist golf ball selector from an educational point of view when you get a chance. Next week, we will discuss the benefit of using the correct shafts in your clubs. |
