Ladies Club Championship The final of the Ladies Club Championship took place last week, with defending champion Chanel Fontaine-Geary and Paulette Rodney competing for the title of South Beds Ladies Champion for 2019. Having qualified for the final by shooting a qualifying score during the year and then winning a quarter-final and semi-final match, Chanel and Paulette had to compete against each other in a 36-hole match-play final. By all accounts, it was a very close game, with a high standard of golf maintained for the duration of the match. In the end, it came down to who could hole the clutch putts coming down the stretch. The match came to a finish on the 35th hole of the day, where Paulette managed to whole the winning putt and claim her first Ladies Championship in what was her first final appearance.
