New Glenmuir colours for May We have just had our final Men’s Glenmuir delivery for the summer, with a navy, red and white colour story for May.
We have had a lot of enquiries for this colour story since we mentioned in March that it would be arriving in May, so I can’t imagine it being in-stock for very long!
If red and navy is not for you, we still have shirts and sweaters available in the fuchsia/grey/black and aqua/white/navy colour stories.
Click here to take a look at the Glenmuir products on our website. If you see anything that appeals to you, come and see us and we can order ir for you, either plain or crested. Alternatively, click here to use the click & collect service available to you. |

Captain / Pro Challenge Club Captain Mick Mackey and I completed our first challenge match on Friday. Our challengers on the day were Ladies Vice-Captain Jacky Levinson and next year’s Ladies Vice-Captain Sarah Russell.
The rain fell for the front 9 holes and our challengers handled the conditions a lot better than we did, and after some fine golf they held a 4 up lead at the turn. As the weather cleared our golf seemed to improve and we managed to pull three holes back, leaving us standing on the 17th tee 1 down. 10 minutes later the game was over as Sarah rolled in a 15 foot putt for a 3 nett 2, giving them a 2&1 victory.
Well done Ladies on a win your golf definitely deserved. It was a real pleasure playing against you. So, for all of you who have your names down to take us on throughout the year, that’s the target to beat so far. Good luck!

Staysure Qualifier winner Congratulations to David Pridmore who won the Staysure qualifying event that took place a couple of weeks ago. David won the medal that was open to anyone 50 years of age +, and now represents South Beds Golf Club alongside me at Foxhills Club & Resort in Surrey in the Regional Final on Tuesday 16th July. The winners of the Regionals go onto the final which is to be held over two days at The London Club at the end of July.
Well done David. I look forward to partnering up and seeing what we can do in July.

Most overlooked club in the bag? |
Thankfully, the penny has dropped when it comes to the importance of getting custom fitted for a new driver or set of irons. Unfortunately, we still see the vast majority of golfers overlook this process when it comes to their fairway woods, but why? |
| How often do you use yours? |
|
“I wouldn’t use it often enough” “It's too expensive” “It's not necessary” Yeah, I guess if you’re not concerned with shooting lower scores and maximising your potential then a custom fitted fairway wood isn’t that important. However, if improving your game is something you want to achieve, then having a full set of custom fitted clubs is vital, especially when it comes to gapping between your driver and irons.

Srixon Z F85 fairway woods One option that we'll definitely get you to try is this beauty from Srixon. It's the only fairway wood in their 2019 range and for good reason, too. A combination of Srixon's Cup Face and Crown Step produce a powerful club that offers consistent distance across the face. So, let’s get you booked in for a custom fitting with a member of the team and harness your potential with the most overlooked club in the bag. |
