Would you believe it, another hole in 1 in a medal!
Do they cut the holes bigger than they used to?!
This time the great strike came from Bill Mead on the 12th hole. Congratulations Bill!
Mizuno Club Fitting Day
We have just confirmed the date and times of our Mizuno club fitting day that will be showcasing the new JPX 900 series irons and will be taking place on the practice ground.
The date is Friday 21st October, and we have 6 slots available for those wishing to have a one on one fitting with Matt, Mizuno's expert club fitter. Matt will be using the latest technology to help you get the clubs and set up that will maximise your game.
The first appointment will be at 1pm, with the last one being at 4.45pm, and fittings will last up to 45 minutes. We expect the appointments to fill up fast, so contact us to book your slot as soon as possible.
For those who don't manage to get an appointment with Matt, the whole range of Mizuno's hardware will be available to try at your leisure between 1pm and 5pm.
Darren will be on the practice ground during that time, and I'm sure he'll pass on a few tips if you feel you might need some.
The last fitting day we had was a big success, so don't miss out!
Cleveland TFI Putters
Due to high demand we have just increased our stock levels of the new Cleveland TFI putter range.
I put one in my bag a few weeks ago and enjoy the combination of swing weight, feel of the putt, and ease of alignment.
Come in to the shop to have a look at the range available, and even give one a try on the putting green if just looking at these beautifully made putters doesn't completely convince you.
He's back! Or is he?
So, what did you make of Tiger Woods' announcement that he hopes to return to action in October?
The former world number one, now ranked outside the top 700, splits opinion, but it can surely only be a good thing that the 14-time Major winner is close to teeing it up competitively again after more than a year on the sidelines.
Of course, nothing is straightforward where Tiger is concerned, because at the time of writing the 40-year-old still isn't 100% certain he'll be in the field to play in the Safeway Open in California, starting on 13 October - it all just adds a little drama to the Tiger circus.
"It could be a fun fall," said Woods. "It was difficult missing tournaments that are important to me, but this time I was smart about my recovery and didn't rush it." What we do know is that he will be at Hazeltine at the end of the month as a non-playing Ryder Cup vice-captain. We suspect once the dust has settled on events in Minnesota, Woods will let us in on a little more.
Maybe you're gearing up for your own return to action. If that's the case and your game is a little rusty, don't hesitate to speak to the team about some coaching.
