Mizuno Fitting Day
Last Friday the Mizuno custom fitting day took place, which was the first time we've had a major manufacturer up at South Beds for a long time. I was a little apprehensive as we have not been able to rely on the weather recently, but the day turned out to be a big success.
I would like to say thank you to all those that came along, whether it was for a pre-booked custom fit session or just to try some new products.
The pre-booked appointments were fully subscribed, and those that had one seemed to gain a lot from it, with many making an investment in some new kit.
For those that could not make the day, remember that we have a Mizuno iron custom fitting cart in the shop; book a fitting appointment today and take the first step in getting the clubs that can help you maximise your game.
Ladies Captains Day
The weather forecast was terrible, but thankfully it turned out to be a much nicer day than expected, with only the odd shower falling from the skies.
Ladies Captain Linda Basquill (pictured left) and her team of committee members and volunteers put in a lot of time and effort to make the day a successful and enjoyable one for all those taking part, and they did a great job.
Virtually the whole of the ladies section took part in the event; some finding the breeze and wet rough more challenging than others, with the winner on the day of the Ladies Captain's prize being Sarah Russell (pictured right).
Congratulations Linda; I hope you managed to enjoy your day. Oh, and thanks for the cake.
