Casey Gets A Hole In One 

Congratulations to Mike Casey on achieving a hole in one on the 1st hole during Monday's medal competition. Mike didn't quite manage to win the medal, but he does win a Hugo Boss watch for his achievement; not a bad consolation prize!

We weren't expecting that! 

Monday must have been one of the hottest days of the year so far, and Tuesday morning was not too bad either; then all of sudden the rain came. From around 3pm on Tuesday afternoon 47mm of rain fell in 2 hours, causing flooding on the course and around the clubhouse. Here are a couple of pictures; the first one is just short of the 10th fairway on Tuesday afternoon and the second one is the same spot early the following morning. 

     

Not many courses can drain in the way that South Beds does. We are very fortunate.

 

Mizuno Fitting Day 

A final reminder that on Friday, Mizuno Golf will be having a custom fitting and demo day on the practice ground between 2pm and 7pm. There will be the full range of clubs available to try, while Matt (Mizuno club fitter), Darren and I will be there to answer any questions you have, and maybe pass on a few tips. 

There will be a designated bay set up for the pre-booked custom fitting appointments, and there will also be a couple of bays set up for anyone who just wants to give the product a try. 

We only get one Mizuno day a year so hopefully the weather is kind and a good few of you take advantage of this opportunity to try product from one of the markets leading brands.

Skechers Golf Shoes 

We announced a few months ago that we would be stocking Skechers golf shoes for the first time this year, and they have been a big success. Some customers have bought the same shoe in different colours because they liked them so much. We have only got limited sizes left in the summer models, so if the brand is one you were thinking of giving a try, you might want to do so sooner rather than later. 

We will continue with Skechers shoes throughout the winter, so more of you will get the opportunity to try this fantastic product.
